Cookies policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember your actions and preferences — the language you chose, what is in your basket, the items on your wishlist. Without some of these files the site simply cannot work properly.

This page explains which cookies maiimo.com uses, what they are for, how long they are kept, and how you can manage your choice.

Categories of cookies

1. Essential — always active

These files make the basic functions of the site work: signing in, the basket, remembering your settings. They cannot be switched off, because the site does not function without them. They are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties.

Name Purpose Retention
Session cookie Keeps your session running: basket contents, signed-in state. Its name is generated automatically and is unique to each browser. Until you close the browser
maiimo_cookie_choice Stores your cookie decision — "Accept" or "Only necessary". This is what stops the banner from appearing again. 1 year
nova_cookie_consent A technical marker recording that you have seen and dismissed the cookie notice. 1 year
define_location_lang Remembers the language version you selected so you are not redirected elsewhere on each visit. 180 days
user_login Lets you stay signed in to your account on your next visit. 1 year
wishlist Stores the wishlist for visitors who are not registered. 30 days
comparison Stores the list of products you added to comparison. 30 days
browsed_products Remembers the products you viewed so we can show the "Recently viewed" block. 30 days
price_filter Remembers the price range you selected in the catalogue filter. 1 day
last_position Remembers where you were in the catalogue so you return to the same place after viewing a product. 7 days
userReferer Stores the source you arrived from, so that orders are processed correctly. 3 days
admin_login Used only by our staff to sign in to the site's control panel. 3 days

2. Analytics and marketing — only with your consent

These files are set by external services so that we can understand how visitors use the site and show more relevant advertising. Until you press "Accept", these services are not loaded and set no files at all. If you chose "Only necessary", they stay switched off.

How we ask for your consent

On your first visit a notice appears at the bottom of the page with two equally prominent buttons:

  • Accept — you allow analytics and marketing cookies;
  • Only necessary — only the files from the first table will operate; the external services will not load.

Until you make a choice, no analytics or advertising tools are activated on the site.

How to change or withdraw your decision

You can revisit your choice at any time. Delete the cookies for maiimo.com in your browser settings — the next time you open the site the notice will appear again and you can choose differently.

Where to find this in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → See all site data and permissions
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data

Please note: deleting the essential cookies will sign you out of your account and clear your basket and wishlist.

Sharing data with third parties

If you have given consent, your browsing data is processed by Google, Meta and Microsoft acting as independent data controllers. Processing may take place outside Ukraine, including in the European Union and the United States. Their terms are set out in their own documents:

Changes to this policy

We may update this page if the list of services changes or if legal requirements change. The date of the latest update is always shown at the top of the document.
