Description

The Suminagashi 550 side table combines a compact footprint with an expressive, almost sculptural presence. Its taller proportion brings the colourful top close to armrest height, while the one-of-a-kind marbled pattern turns a useful surface into a lively accent for a contemporary living room or lounge area.

A softly rounded top balances the graphic base and keeps the silhouette approachable in everyday use. A monochrome leg provides a calm field for the pattern, while a fully Suminagashi-finished support heightens the decorative quality and the sense of owning a singular piece.

The table’s raised proportion gives a new physical form to suminagashi, the ancient Japanese painting method associated with ink floating and dissolving across water. Collection designers Ekaterina and Valerii Kuznetsov of DECORKUZNETSOV used an exclusive colouring process so that no surface repeats another; choosing between traditional ink tones and bold modern shades makes the piece feel personally connected to its place beside an armchair.
